Joe entered dance classes in ’69 – six weeks into his
dance class started teaching his own class. He has been calling ever since. Has four
clubs in the Nashville area, Music City Singles, Flat Rock Squares, Plus Unlimited and Nashville “A” Club.
Is a member of Nashville Area Callers Association and has served as President of this Association. Joe
is a Member of Callerlab and licensed with BMI and ASCAP. Joe is a former member of Kentucky Callers Association,
Tri-state Callers Association and United Callers Association, serving in various executive positions in these Associations.
Owner of Silver Eagle Records and was a co-owner in Eagle Records, also co-owner and manufacturer of Keltone Speakers.
Has called in 40 of the adjacent 48 states and Canada. Met his wife Marcia while calling for her
dance club in Lexington, KY. Having retired from the DuPont Company after 36 years of service, he now enjoys
his horses and calling an average of 5 dances a week year round. Is one of the “Southern Gentlemen”
trio along with Evan Pauley and Robert Townsend. Joe travels several times a year on calling tours and
is available for weekend Festivals and regular club dances where needed.
